About Rose

I'm a London-born, Xiamen-based singer-songwriter, certified daydreamer, wild plant paparazzi, and the founder of Opaline Quill.

I create with a reverence for nature — whether through song, words, or the immense awe and gratitude I feel as I document the wild plants that bloom in urban spaces. As a post-indoctrinated being, my work is rooted in the belief that dreams are sacred dialogues worthy of care, and that when tended to, can create the space needed for souls to breathe and break free.

In 2022, I founded Opaline Quill, The Dreamer's Apothecary, as a gentle nest for dreams to rest and bloom. What began as a personal practice has grown into a space for nurturing nightmares into dreams, one thoughtful offering at a time.

Opaline Quill is a digital sanctuary for dreamers—a growing space where inner worlds are held with tenderness. It's home to The ABC Dream Oracle, a deck where every card is a love letter to your inner dreamer, inviting you to turn toward your dreams and meet them with care.

Through my blog, Quilled, I share the thought sketches of an anti-staunch daydreamer. It's a quiet archive of musings of awe and wonder, a release from rigidity and certainty.

My past project, Clock Flower Wishes, was a celebration of wild plants growing in urban environments—a soundscape woven from weeds found across London. CFW was an invitation to listen to the music of the streets, the plants singing silently in the city, as a quiet reminder that nature persists and thrives in the most unexpected places—as can we.

My current project, All Other, Together, is a collaborative foundational picture book designed to nurture early empathy, kindness, and hope. It is a gentle offering for the youngest dreamers and the grown-ups who read with them.

As a singer/songwriter, I continue to write songs which will be shared at a future date. Future projects will continue to unfold as I practice tending to my inner dreamer.

Trust that dreams, when held with space, will find their way to bloom.

Thank you for being here.
Love,
Rose
