Not all gifts have to be products.
You can gift your time and shared experiences, creating memories that can be called upon to warm your heart when a reminder of joy is needed. In my gifting blog series, I’ll share some activities and places I’m fond of, and I hope they inspire ideas of your own.

Tate Britain is one of my favourite places ever. I have very special memories of visiting as a little girl, and it’s still one of my comfort places that I return to to daydream and re-orient myself. They currently have a Lee Miller exhibition running until February next year, which is perfect timing for a holiday gifting experience. Visit the gallery and make it a festive memory. They also offer free daily tours. If you take one in the morning, you’ll have time to hop on the 88 bus for a tour through London and end up at The Heath, which leads perfectly to the next activity.

Wreath Foraging. Head to your local park or pick a destination to gather the natural materials you’ll need to make your own wreath. Do some research beforehand on the types of branches and twigs you’d like, and look up how-to guides online. There are many. Be mindful when foraging. Thank the soil and the plants and speak your dreams in silence to the earth as you forage. Here’s a link to get you started.

Earl of East Winter Candle Making Workshop. Based on Regent Street, for £55 you can learn how to make your own soy wax candle and blend scents to create your own festive season candle to glow with your dreams. (I haven't tried yet, but it's on my list.) Head to their website to find available dates.

The Parlour at Fortnum and Mason. Open all day. A mid-shopping ice cream stop. The Cucumber and Mint sorbet is a go-to, but I bet the classic Knickerbocker Glory is delicious. A magical place to pull a card from The ABC Dream Oracle over a sundae.

Park Bench Daydream. Take a walk through the city or a park for a daydreamer’s bonding session. Gift your time and attention. Write a little note to remind them of your love or to wish them a happy holiday in person.

Pottery Class at Turning Earth. Gifting a course at one of their studios would be a dream for a pottery lover or someone wanting to try something new. Handmade objects become treasures to keep as reminders of playful achievements or to gift as an extra-special one-off. Handling clay is super therapeutic and can quickly become an obsession. Gift a course to yourself or a loved one. P.S. The studio in Highgate is right next to a magical little cafe nestled in the woods, the perfect place to take a dreamer's walk.

Make Mulled Wine, alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Shop for the spices together, brew it at home, and while it simmers, set intentions and share blessings for the upcoming year. Mulled wine always feels so comforting and opens up feelings of nostalgic magic. I’d say it’s a dreamer's go-to drink. I’ll definitely be trying the non-alcoholic version this year. I’ve never done so before. I found this blog online with a recipe I’ll try.

Life is a gift. Wrap your time with ribbons of optimism, hope, and kindness.
Magic is in our day-to-day moments shared with ourselves and others. Remember that you are a gift to those in your life, just as they are also a gift to you.
I do love a present; finding the right product is like a treasure hunt, so there are more mood boards to come. If you have any other ideas for gifting time and experiences, sign up to leave them in the comments below.
Happy gifting season! Rose.
