My books were companions.

It's World Book Day in a few days.

Growing up, many of my books were companions of comfort and hope — stories and tales I could escape into. Three of my absolute favourites were: Voices in the Park by Anthony Browne, The Rainbow Zebra by Preston Shay, and Moon Jump by Mustapha Matura.
As an adult, sometimes it's comical to look back on my childhood influences and realise how much I was shaped by them — the cartoons I watched, the books I read, the adults I admired. The three books shared here had an undeniable impact on who I am today and, upon reflection, have beautifully led me to my current project, All Other, Together.
All Other, Together is a super special children's picture book in the making. It's currently being brought to life through my collaboration with 18 artists who each visually embody the book's message of diverse perspectives.
The book's simple text reminds us that we are all temporary beings of equal value, living on a shared planet that requires our care.
I highly recommend you find these three children's picture books and learn more about All Other, Together. Here, you can read through page by page, get to know the current artists, and learn more about the book's purpose and process of creation.
Thank you!
Enjoy World Book Day.
