Page description and purpose: I'm looking for an artist to create a scene of an urban community, skyline, or map, with individuals passing hearts or other items that can represent an interchange of compassion. This page envisions creating cities of compassion to counterbalance the concreteness and coldness of othering by depicting the passing of hearts between strangers. This would symbolise the domino effect that a genuine gesture of kindness can create in a sometimes hostile society. Behind closed doors, peering out through windows, we each live our private struggles and joys. When we witness worldwide tragedies and the overwhelming pain caused by hatred, apathy and injustice, continuing to nurture our compassion is so desperately needed for our individual and collective well-being. By rooting closer to home with those in our shared communities, we can reconnect to our humanity by engaging with others, connecting as neighbours.
