Artist: Yet to be discovered​

Page description and purpose: Page eight will celebrate the unity between humans and plants by highlighting our physical similarities and our shared connection to the earth. Our lives are deeply rooted in the sacredness of the earth, born from the soil, nourished by the soil, akin to the soil. I'm looking for a botanical artist to create a visually beautiful and accurate plant vascular system for page eight. By seeing ourselves in a plant, we learn that "othering" any being is a refusal to acknowledge the shared, sacred systems that sustain all life. Our shared biological language visually demonstrates our shared fundamental processes required for us to live, rejecting hierarchy and replacing it with kinship — there is no human-nature divide.
