behold, beheld, beloved, be loved

Dear Dreamers, this blog will be brief.
I’m sharing this ritual to help combat collective grief.
Ever look at a wild plant and think, "How on earth are you growing there?"
Wild plants are such individuals—they grow untamed just as they are. Each one of them is a defiant declaration of the self. They bloom as they are, and so should you.
The ritual is simple. Look out for a wild plant. Connect with it. Take a breath with it. If you’re out in public and feel shy, then make it brief with a simple inhalation, a note to self, and a silent thank you to life. Carry this feeling/reminder with you.
If you have time, linger. Notice their stems, leaves, and flowers—their unique outlines and expressions. How they brace and bloom in the elements. Where are your outlines? How do you differentiate yourself? How is your self expressed and shared? Is your self subsumed into a cause, an identity shaped by a shared belief, or held loose and vague in ambiguity?
Be like a wild plant. Bloom as you are and assert your sense of self.
When typing, I realised a typo in the title—meditation as mediation. In legal encounters mediators are hired to ‘facilitate communication’ - in nature wild flowers are natural mediators between the earth and us. Wildflower wisdom can remind us of our self.
Once more,
The earth is alive and creative. You are an expression of the earth’s creativity. Your life is an opportunity to co-create with the earth. So, create, declare, and share your dreams with the world. This declaration can be a private declaration to self - this inner knowing - this choosing of yourself will naturally contribute to the discourse of dreams.
Aspire to be yourself—Rose.
