thank you, dear wildflower

ree

Why do I keep asking you to send me a photo of a weed or wildflower?

It's been a few years since

Clock Flower Wishes, but every time I see little wildflowers bursting through the concrete, I still have to stop in awe and thank them for their bloom.

Each wild plant growing in urban surroundings I see as one of nature's gestures of defiance that reveals a sense of hope and a promise of renewal for our planet. Nature stands up for itself, and we can too.

A simple gesture of showing that we care, I see as a ritual of response to nature's reminders. Our acknowledgement of their overlooked life can act as a partaking in this promise to be present and to not deny nature as it offers us its foliage.

When you're out and about, try to keep open to the earth's reminders. The next time you see a wild plant, take a moment of your time to thank the earth and learn from the wisdom of the wildflowers you encounter to…

Bloom as you are,

Rose. x
