Page 3: They, too, have a brain and a heart.

Artist: Yet to be discovered.

Page description and purpose: This page will be a celebration of the beauty of bugs. No creature should be overlooked! Despite their tiny size, the incredible variety discovered in the insect kingdom never ceases to amaze. They, too, have brains and hearts, albeit micro-sized compared with ours, as ours are to larger creatures such as whales or elephants. When we consider ourselves in relation to other beings, our perspective on life can change. How fascinating life truly is. This page will be dedicated to insects, with their tiny hearts and brains, who, despite their miniature size, accomplish so much in their realm. I envision a double-page spread of a bug world, featuring multiple miniature creatures with their hearts and brains on display. Perhaps they are going through an X-ray machine, or we see love hearts in vibrant hues marking their locations, alongside thought bubbles? I am looking for an artist who already finds insects fascinating to showcase their work in this collaborative book. This focus on perspective and scale is crucial for the theme of othering because it challenges our tendency to dismiss or devalue that which is small, different, or seemingly insignificant, revealing how such judgments are a matter of viewpoint, not inherent worth.
